These mats are designed to be trimmed or cut so that they may be customized to fit almost any vehicle. The WeatherTech AVM® (All-Vehicle Mat) is the evolution of the “Universal” All-Weather Floor Mat. As such, it is the most technologically advanced universal trim-to-fit mat made today as it has a unique shape for the driver and passenger floor. Our product designers measured multiple vehicles to determine the best combination of ideal fit and indicated trim lines that allow you to make a custom fit, while maintaining the desirable attributes that our customers have come to expect from a WeatherTech® product. AVM® All-Vehicle Mats have tall outer ridges and channels to help guide fluids to the lower half of the mat where a reservoir traps fluids and debris – away from your feet and clothes. The AVM® is made from an advanced thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) that is odorless, non-toxic and stays flexible in the coldest of temperatures. Enhancing safety, the AVM® feature the patented MatGrip® retention device as well as molded-in nibs that add security to the mat-to-floor interface. Available in black, tan or grey.
Your mileage will vary but measure before buying
I bought these for my 2016 Chevy SS sedan. I KNEW going in, that these are NOT custom fit and for those that bought them thinking it would fit like it was custom fit…it may be too large or too small. The dimensions are provided and a few minutes with a tape measure would yield much better results. So like any universal product, your mileage may vary. For my application it fit about 95% out of the package. I did have to remove one of the rectangle blocks on the upper left of the driver’s side near the dead pedal. The front passenger side fit fairly well. I would say if it was about 1/2″ wider, it would be perfect but for something about a third of the cost of a custom fit, I can’t complain. The rear fit OK, they are a bit narrow in the rear section, I would need at least another inch or so to fit better and the part that goes under the front seats are a bit short. Could be longer, say 2 to 3 inches. Again for what it does and the cost, it will get me through the Winter season and that’s that.So again, measure YOUR car’s existing floor mats to get a better idea of how well it will fit. Here are the measurements from Weathertech’s website:AVM Size Information: Front mats: 5/8″ thick 19″ wide by 27″ long Can be trimmed to 16″ wide by 24″ long2-Piece Rear mats: 5/8″ thick 18.5″ wide by 17″ long Can be trimmed to 16.5″ wide by 15″ longGood luck and these are great mats!
BMW 5 Series
I am very happy with these mats. After reading so many reviews (most good, some bad) I decided to take a chance and just order them. I’m glad I did. They do not look cheap, they fit the area, they’re heavy and rugged, and I didn’t pay $130. Perhaps the bad reviews came from those with larger vehicles like SUVs.
I used these in a 2016 Volt until the laser measured front floor pans were available.
These need to be trimmed to fit a 2016 Volt. I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the fit achieved for the drivers floor mat. Hint: I you are replacing factory mats because they are made of easily soiled carpet, use them as templates for cutting theses rubber mats instead of estimating it by the fit and cut method. After Weather Tech produced laser-measured floor pans for the front positions, I bought those. The rear rubber mats are perfect on the rear floors and will remain in use.
2005 Volvo S60 — not a great fit
I installed these in a 2005 Volvo S60. Weathertech doesn’t make the “laser measured” mats for this car, so I bought these for about $60 on Amazon. The back mats were perfect. The front mats are another story. They fit “good enough” but certainly didn’t fit like a glove. I cut it to shape as much as I could. There are too many contours on the driver side to have this fit perfectly. They’ll be fine to protect the tan interior carpets. The quality seems really good and they did not have a plastic smell. These will probably outlast the car, but if I had to do it again I would have bought less expensive mats. If you want a perfect fit, and have a newer car, it may be worth it to spend the extra hundred plus dollars to get a “perfect” fit. The 2015 Volvo S60 mats are about $180. A small price to pay to keep your nice car nice.
Bought it for Mazda6 2014, the only reason is I am cheap, i guess 🙂 Original mazda mats cost > $100. I was expecting much bigger surface on these mats, so i could really curve them to vehicle curves and cut as needed. Not the case. These mats are small, 3 out of 4 mats were just dropped into passengers compartments and there is still about an inch on 3 sides left open and uncovered floor carpet, on 4th side (the top part) – its just open to any salt. The only mat a had to cut a little was driver’s one, and only because mazda6 has floor mounted pedal. Besides, mats are not deep enough to carry enough salt/snow.In general – don’t be cheap, either buy original mats that will fit much better or buy WeatherTech Custom Fit series. As a side not: last winter I accidentally bought a set of universal rubber mats in Costco for around $15 for other vehicle in the family – much better value and surprisingly better choice, those are large and you can really curve them and cut to fit. And they are deep, the floor carpet was clean after a winter in minnesota.
Highly recommended. Give this consideration.
Very high quality replacement car mats, and very attractive. Do watch the WeatherTech installation video and your own install will be a breeze. I had mine installed in about 15 minutes. Take your time with it to avoid mistakes. My own passenger side & rear mats needed no trimming at all. This set was reasonably priced considering the high quality, and I had considered several from the local AutoZone store. Very highly recommended. Nicer quality than the original floor mats that came with my 2009 Honda Accord.
