Compressor doesn’t work
I sincerely looked forward to having this product as a universal backup for most car issues one encounters on the road. Fortunately amazon was quick to address the issue when I found out the compressor function didn’t work at all. My car was still in my driveway or I may have been on the side of the road in freezing temps finding this all out. The other functions may work (haven’t tested them) but the compressor doesn’t, it sounded as though it was but continuously shut off after adding only a few pounds when tested on three separate tires from two different vehicles (shut off at about 26 – 29 lbs). The gauge was also incorrect when tested against two very accurate tire pressure readers, it read 34 lbs when the pressure was still under 30. I’m not the only person this has happened to.. The item should be recalled.
Dead On Arrival–AMAZON DOESN’T ACCEPT RETURNS FOR THIS ITEM!
Arrived 11/20/17, I immediately plugged it in to charge per instructions (you must charge for 12 hours upon arrival). The unit WILL NOT HOLD A CHARGE. I logged into Amazon to start the return process only to find out Amazon WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURN OF THIS ITEM BECAUSE OF ITS WEIGHT.. Congratulations! You just gave Stanley Tool a $60 Christmas present. This item was heavily advertised for the Black Friday Deals and it’s a great deal for Stanley Tools and Amazon because they just took $60 from you and you have a 25 pound paperweight. DON’T BUY THIS!!!
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
Won’t hold a charge even sitting in my house. This is the most frustrating thing I’ve ever encountered. I live in MN. It’s cold. That’s why I bought this. When it’s really cold, sometimes my car needs a little extra ‘help’ to start. I bought the model recommended for my vehicle, followed the charging instructions that arrived with it, and was able to use it ONCE. After the initial use, it won’t hold a charge. I keep the thing in my house so that the cold won’t drain it but found that it’s not holding a charge overnight EVEN SITTING IN MY HOUSE! What a colossal waste of money. When I plug it in, it shows no lights at all. I leave it plugged in to charge until the green light has been showing for several hours. Then I unplug it. When I turn it on again the next day to see if there’s a charge, if I’m lucky, I’ll have one red light. If I’m not lucky, there’s no lights at all.
NOT GOOD AT ALL
I purchased this 5 months ago , Used it maybe 7 times for putting air inly tin my riding mower tires and bike tires . Now it’s dead and wont take a charge . Was impressed for 5 months. Now I have to find a box , wrap it , pay for shipping , Then wait for a new one . NOT GOOD AT ALL !
Works but tire inflator top broke off and unable to fix
Works well. It is a bit noisy, though. It has helped in both inflating a number of tires and jump starting my car and some neighborhood cars. Now, after about 2 years of normal use, the top part of the tire inflator has broken off. I looked in home depot for a replacement, nothing seems compatible. I don’t want to trash it since it is otherwise working fine. Please help in providing some suggestions/feedback on how to fix this.
After 2 short uses, the compressor feature stopped working …
After 2 short uses, the compressor feature stopped working. We contacted Stanley and were told that although it is under warranty, we have to pay to have this shipped to them, and they will replace it. It is ridiculous that they will not stand behind their product. We are now trying to work with Amazon to see if we can return it to Amazon at no cost to us.
